Jensen C-V8 Video Diary
This is where you'll be able to see the restoration of our Jensen CV8 as it progresses through the restoration.
Jensen C-V8 Part 1
The Jensen C-V8 on an outing in 2011 in the snow. Cars are for driving no matter what the conditions! Shaky picture quality. The music is from the Motorola period radio that is badged Jensen from the factory.
Jensen C-V8 Part 2
Taking the Jensen C-V8 for a run on a cold and February afternoon. I was joined by my fellow C-V8 owner Paul who has his Jensen C-V8 MkII undergoing a full restoration
Jensen C-V8 Part 3
This is the Jensen C-V8 Chassis of Paul Isaacs. It was great to see a C-V8 chassis undergoing restoration first hand. The guys doing the job have got amazing high standards and they will not do anything if it does not match the original. Pauls' C-V8 is promising to be one of the best out there with this standard of work.
Jensen C-V8 Part 5
Another run out after standing for a while. It started first time! Nov 2014.
Jensen C-V8 Part 7
The Jensen C-V8 had developed a few annoying leaks. We are keeping the car running so we thought we should fix them. The selector gear needed a new 'O' ring. This should stop the transmission leak. A new cork gasket was required for the gearbox. New heater hoses were needed to stop the water leaks. At time of writing, all parts on order from Martin Robey.
Jensen C-V8 Part 4
So I gave the keys of my Jensen C-V8 to fellow C-V8 owner Paul Isaacs. With Paul undergoing a full restoration on his C-V8 this gave him a little Jensen fix to keep the enthusiasm high.
Jensen C-V8 Part 6
Brake test that revealed the discs needed skimming due to distorted hubs.
Jensen C-V8 Part 8
The transmission leak looks like it has gone. So does the water leak. However, we are holding out on the oil leak as a few spots appeared but it may just be the residue of what as there. You can see the size of the pools of the fluids that were leaking where it has dried. Starting? It was cold and we have always had to let the priming pump do its thing.

Well, this is what happens when you floor a C-V8. Not bad for an unmolested car from 1964!. With a bit of tuning and work it could probably do even better. Thanks to Paul Isaacs for filming this. What fun:-)
